They say females are better than males at multi tasking. This photo shows Margaret and a close friend getting ready for school exams in the early 60s whilst sunbathing on the garage roof of 45 Slade Road. This was the family house in Newton, Swansea in our teenage years and is still lived in by Elisabeth, one of our younger sisters from a second marriage that my mother committed herself to in 1961. The garage was a poular place for sunbathing by Margaret, perhaps sowing the seeds for many holidays she spent in the sun in later years.
