Carol Wilkinson 29th September 2010

Margaret, you were such a warm and loving person. I will never forget how you welcomed a distraught Lucy into your class and helped her to feel at home straight away after we had moved house. You nutured every child in your care helping them to flourish into well rounded individuals with a strong sense of self esteem. You valued differences and placed no pressure on children to develop before they were ready, you gave them what they needed: lots of love and patience. Lucy and Katie adored your pottery club and in particular loved that you walked them home. You and Angela were so lovely when our kittens went missing while we were on holiday - helping to find them and sitting with them every day to keep them happy. I will never forget your passion for vegetarianism - regularly asking me 'Carol, why are you not a vegetarian?' or 'Why do you eat animals?'. It made me smile when you would praise children for choosing the non-animal option from the dinner menu. You were a wonderful woman, a lovely friend and a great neighbour. We will all miss you very much. x
